Lead Docent & Educational Programming Assistant

Jesus Pelayo is a musician, composer, and holds a B.A in Anthropology from Fresno State. He has spent most of his life in the Central Valley but spent 10 years in the Bay Area where he fostered his passion for the arts studying at Chabot College and working for The Oakland Museum of California. Jesus’ passions have led him to the study of cultural anthropology to further expand on the human experience and how art plays a role in cultures worldwide. Additionally, he holds a Humanics Certificate from Fresno State which has guided his passion for the arts towards local community benefit organizations and Non-Profits to create community partnerships with historically disenfranchised, underserved, and overlooked populations. Most recently, Jesus served as the Rural Fellow for Arte Americas to expand arts programming into rural communities and as an assistant Program Manager for the Winter Arts Camp at Arte Americas that served to host over 100 students from the Fresno Unified School District to engage in a variety of art-making programs.
